Woman Made Gallery Poetry Reading Series
recorded Sunday, 2015-12-06, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
event profile:
PRINT means one thing for the visual artist and a very different thing to the writer. After all, print is what writers do. How, then, to imagine a "print reading"? One might start by thinking about LETTERS: Alphabet poems such as Abecedarians, or Acrostics, or poems in the form of a letter (epistolary poems). And indeed contributing writers in this program bring such work. We also present poems using text taken from other sources and writing forms: collage, centos or found poetry, fictional journals, and more.
Presenting poets include: Jaimee Hills, Kristen LaTour, Pam Miller, Megan Pietz and Silvia Rodriguez. Presenters Nina Corwin and Angela Torres also present brief samples of their poetry.
