Woman Made Gallery Poetry Reading Series
recorded Sunday, 2012-07-22
event profile:
There are people who work tirelessly to create opportunities for other artists and writers to get their work out in front of the world – the editors, curators and people who staff arts organizations. Although some are better known for opening doors, many of these people have vibrant writing practices of their own. This reading provided an opportunity to get to know the poetry of several such women: working artists who routinely pass the limelight to other noteworthy artists.
This event was recorded with the consent and participation of the contributing artists and the host venue, Woman Made Gallery. The recording was originally made available on the web through WBEZ-FM/Chicago Public Radio's Chicago Amplified project.
