Woman Made Gallery Poetry Reading Series
recorded Sunday, 2010-08-01
event profile:
In a community where performance poetry has held sway for some years, it's appropriate to take stock of the writers whose careers have been built on publishing. This event is exactly as the title suggests. Women whose publishing credentials have become well-established take the mic for a live reading where the boundary between well-published poetry versus well-performed poetry may become just a little more blurry.
This event was recorded with the consent and participation of the contributing artists and the host venue, Woman Made Gallery. The recording was originally made available on the web through WBEZ-FM/Chicago Public Radio's Chicago Amplified project.
