Faculty and students of local writing programs responded to an array of writing prompts and assignments for the "While in Class Reading" on January 31, 2010. These included School of the Art Institute faculty: Elise Paschen with students LeAnne Ray, Aja Bacquie, Kristine Domingo, Avery Lee and Hao-yuan Lo. Columbia College faculty: Susen James with students Hannah Harris, Abi Stokes, and Stephanie Lee Sutton.
In addition, Sharon Warner read poetry on the experience of being a teacher and Lily Diego read Debbie Kent's wry account of her early experiences as a "special" student.
