Present at the CreationPresent at the Creation: a conversation on slam's origins was a panel discussion convened onf the final day of the AWP 2012 conference, 2012-03-03. The organizer and moderator for the conference was Tim W. Brown. Fellow speakers include Luis Rodriguez, Sharon Mesmer, Paul McComas, and Kurt Heintz. All speakers were involved first-hand with writing and performing poetry and monologue, contemporary to the beginnings of the slam poetry movement.
