John Paul Davis
John Paul Davis is a writer and teacher who was part of the 2000 Mad Bar (Chicago) poetry slam team. He is an editor of the handbound, hand-made literary journal, Em Literary. An able webmaster, he keeps his own site online at johnpauldavis.org, wherein he publishes a blog that includes many of his better-known poems, fiction pieces, and satire. Davis's poems and stories have appeared in various literary journals in print and online, including RATTLE, Columbia Poetry Review, and Off the Cuffs, a Soft Skull anthology of poems by and about police officers. His first book, Copy of a Copy of a Copy, a handbound, letter-pressed edition with audio recordings of all the poems (from which some of the offerings below are taken), was published by Blue Barnhouse Books in late summer 2004.
